St Joseph's Parish Pastoral Centre

Our Pastoral Centre hosts many activites organised by the parishioners of St. Joseph’s Parish.

Its rooms are available for hire on application - either by parishioners or for business conferences.

(We do not hire our hall for weddings, parties or social events,

other than for those parish events organised by members of our own church community)

The Main Hall

St. Joseph’s Hall is the largest of the rooms. It has comfortable seating for 60 people at large tables and can accommodate a maximum of 100 people standing.

The main hall is equipped with public address amplification, including a Loop system for the hard-of-hearing and a built-in multi CD music player.  There are facilities to amplify some instrumental / singing performances and there is also an upright acoustic piano (regularly tuned to concert pitch).

The main parish kitchen is located off St. Joseph’s hall and has a serving counter into the hall. There is also a roll-down shutter to screen the kitchen from the hall.(The main toilets - male, female and disabled - are off St. Joseph’s Hall where there is also a baby-changing area.)

St Joseph's Table Team look after the Coffee Shop area kitchen - and this is only used for their hot meals service.

 The Children's Room
The Children’s Liturgy Room is where our children have their own Sunday Liturgy.

The children's work is displayed each week with a full account on their own website.

The Gallery Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop Kitchen is situated off the lower level and has a serving hatch into the covered link-way between church, pastoral centre and garden.  At present these facilities are used for parish coffee mornings.

The Gallery Coffee Shop is on two levels.  There is seating for 32 around light wood laminated tables (16 upstairs and 16 downstairs).  The tables and chairs in the upper part can be rearranged to create space for small meetings.
